The A.I.D. program, sponsored by the ACMH auxiliary and volunteers, allows children to learn about healthcare, science, and community engagement. Each month participants will learn about a new exciting topic related to different aspects within the hospital and healthcare as well as participate in hands-on activities. The program will feature interesting guest speakers, an ability to see and interact with various medical equipment, and unique opportunities to meet and interact with our ACMH community all at age-appropriate learning levels. Each month is a standalone program and will feature a new topic.
The topic for September is the Brain Injury and Cognition!
This month’s topic is sure to stick in your brain. You will learn all about the different types of brain injuries and how to treat them, get to try some adaptive tools, learn how to keep your brain strong and healthy with brain games, and take a look inside our heads.
Age range: 8-13 years old
