Introducing Charlie

Charlie, a pediatric simulator from CHART (Community Hospital Alternative for Risk Transfer), has made his arrival at ACMH! This simulator is provides the opportunity to practice the skills and procedures for the pediatric population. Through the use of the simulator, users will incorporate teamwork and communication while sharpening clinical and decision-making skills for real life situationss. 

Some of Charlie’s features include:

  • Anatomically correct, realistic airway with landmarks
  • Spontaneous breathing with observable chest rise
  • Multiple heart sounds synchronized with ECG rhythm monitoring
  • Laryngeal mask airway or endotracheal intubation
  • Breathing complications
  • Oxygen saturation and waveform
  • Bilateral carotid and unilateral brachial and left radial pulses synchronized with ECG
  • IV access (right arm and hand)
  • Intraosseous access (right tibia)
