Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Department (ED)
Job Type: Hourly Full-time and Part-time

Sign-On Bonus:  $25,000 over two years paid quarterly (prorated for part-time)

Summary:

Our 24 bed ED is a destination for exceptional care for emergent need.  We specialize in surgical, medical and cardiac care and are a Primary Stroke Center accredited for Cardiovascular Excellence (ACE) that enables us to perform percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). We have implemented many technologic advances to ensure high-quality care for our patients and we are committed to improving the emotional and physical health of our patients through superior clinical care and the compassionate management of illness and disability.

·         We offer our nurses various 12 hour shifts, with an every other weekend rotation and rotating holidays. Schedules are provided on a 4-week interval basis.

Your contribution:

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, and referrals.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Position Requirements:

Applicants must have a current state RN license and one-year telemetry experience.

Certifications required within six months of hire:

·         BLS/ACLS

·         NRP

·         NIH Stroke Scale

·         Monitor training

·         Crisis Prevention Intervention
