Registered Nurse (RN), Endoscopy

Summary:
Our Endoscopy RNs possess strong technical skills in handling equipment and demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage patients and collaborate effectively with the medical team. The role demands attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to stay calm and respond effectively to complications or emergencies.
· Daylight: 6:30 am / 7 am / 7:30 am - close of the department with rotating call until 6:30 am next day
· Afternoon: Rotational call from close of department to next morning
· Weekend and holiday rotational call
· Schedules provided on a 4-week interval basis.
Your contribution:
A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:
· Provide care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, which use a flexible camera to view internal organs.
· Prepare patients for the procedure.
· Monitor vital signs during and after the procedure.
· Manage endoscopic equipment.
· Assist the physician during the procedure.
· Provide post-procedure care and instructions.
· Educate patients and answer their questions.

Position Requirements:
Applicants must have a current state RN license and possess an associate's or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
Additional requirements include:
· Two (2) years medical-surgical experience with ACLS certification
· Monitor competency & Proficient IV skills
· Flexible with scheduling in work assignments & start/finish times.
· Previous endoscopy or critical care experience is preferred
