Sleep Disorders Lab

Patients for sleep studies must be referred to us by a physician.  Usually your doctor sends us an order and we contact you to set up an appointment.  At that time you will receive instructions on how to prepare for your sleep evaluation.

A routine medical examination cannot reveal the main symptoms of this illness because the patient appears normal while awake.  Proper diagnosis of the severity and type of sleep disorder can only be determined by interviewing and special monitoring of the individual during an evaluation known as a sleep study.  This sleep study is done in the Sleep Disorders Lab at ACMH Hospital.
