Endocrinology
Endocrinology is the branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of hormonal diseases, such as diabetes, and disorders of the thyroid, parathyroid and pituitary glands.

Dana Vucinich, M.D., has been providing care to patients in the ACMH Endocrinology Clinic since 1996. She is board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. She received her undergraduate degrees in chemistry and chemical engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, and her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She completed her internship, residency, and fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh - Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Vucinich has also been an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology at the University of Pittsburgh. Her professional organizations include the Endocrine Society, American College of Clinical Endocrinologists, American Diabetes Association, and American College of Physicians.
Elizabeth (Betty) Nanni, RN, CDE, has been employed at ACMH Hospital since 1982, and has been working with Dr. Vucinich since 1996. As a registered nurse and as a certified diabetes educator, Betty is involved in the day-to-day management of the clinic, but also sees patients for diabetes management education both on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
