QUALITY REHABILITATION CLOSE TO HOME

The Acute Rehabilitation Unit at ACMH Hospital focuses on individual & family needs.  Patient diagnoses for rehabilitative care include orthopedic surgery and amputation, stroke, neurological disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis & Parkinson's Disease to name a few.

The Rehabilitation treatment team is comprised of a medical director who specializes in rehabilitation medicine, rehabilitation nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nutritionist and social service professionals.  Orthotic or prosthetic services are available, as needed, through either inpatient or rehab clinic settings.

The Acute Rehab Unit is a part of the continuum of care including hospital, rehab and home or outpatient treatment.  A free, timely, in-home or hospital rehabilitation assessment including recommendations for care will be completed prior to admission to the Rehab Unit.

The Rehab Unit offers patients access to their own physicians with ongoing treatment in a caring and friendly environment.  The Rehab Unit is conveniently located on the second floor of the hospital and offers private rooms with free parking for family and visitors.
