ACMH Hospital Accreditation Status
Below you will read a brief summary of the accreditation process ACMH Hospital and the Armstrong Outpatient Imaging Center undergo in order to assure top-notch quality care. It is with great pride that the hospital undergoes these various reviews in order to offer the highest quality services to the patients who entrust their care to us. If you have questions or would like more information, please feel free to contact the various departments listed through the main hospital number of 724-543-8500.
Accreditation is granted to those facilities that voluntarily participate in a rigorous evaluation process of daily operations as well as an expert review of test results samples performed by the various departments seeking accreditation. Accreditation ensures that the facility is committed to performing up to nationally recognized quality-of-care standards. To maintain the accreditation status, facilities must undergo on-site review every three years. An exception to this 3-year renewal rule is the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) through the Federal Government’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This agency reviews the mammography department here at ACMH and the AOIC on a yearly basis.
